Resumes are boring, and the most boring part of any resume is the line at the bottom that says References Available Upon Request. Yup, we figured your references would be available when we asked for them. You’re not saying anything at all with that line.

Why not add a pithy quote from a former boss to your resume in place of that static “References Available” language?
